3) The Centre has accorded ‘in-principle’ approval for the site at Jaitapur in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district for setting up six nuclear power reactors of 1,650MW each in technical cooperation with France, which will make it the largest nuclear power generating site with a total capacity of 9,900 MW.

11) India successfully tested the new generation nuclear-capable ballistic missile 'Agni P' from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast.
