1) Taking an imperative towards conserving the diversity of indigenous crops in the country, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar has inaugurated the world’s second-largest refurbished state-of-the-art National Gene Bank at the National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), Pusa, New Delhi.

6) On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of India on August 15, 2021, 144 Gallantry awards have been conferred on armed forces, police and paramilitary personnel, as approved by the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President Ram Nath Kovind.


7) In Mizoram, 3rd Battalion of 23 sector Assam Rifles launched a video version of “Jana Gana Mana” sung by 5 years old prodigy Miss Esther Hnamte of Lunglei. The Assam Rifles has taken this effort as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate the 75 years of India's Independence.
