RBI Recruitment 2019-2020 was released. The Reserve Bank of India invites applications from eligible candidates for 926 posts of “Assistant” – 2019 in various offices of the Bank. Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive examination in two phases i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Please note that Corrigendum, if any, issued on the above advertisement, will be published only on the Bank’s website. Eligibility Criteria RBI Assistant Notification 2020 :

The candidate should have done a bachelor’s degree from any discipline with an aggregate 50% from any recognized university
The candidate has the knowledge of computer.
Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write,speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.

The candidate should be a citizen of India. Besides the citizens of Bhutan, Nepal and Tibetan refugees can also apply for the exam.

Educational Qualification in RBI Recruitment 2019:

At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.

Salary Details in RBI Recruitment 2019:

Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of ₹ 14,650/- per month in the scale of ₹ 13150 – 750(3) – 15400 – 900(4) – 19000 – 1200(6) – 26200 – 1300(2) – 28800 –1480(3) – 33240 – 1750(1) – 34990 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants approximately ₹ 36091/-. * House Rent Allowance will not be paid to the employee, if Bank’s accommodation is provided and license fee will be recovered from her/him @ 0.3% of pay at the starting stage of the pay scale of Class III.

Exam Pattern :

The examination would take place in three phases — preliminary, main and interview. Both the exams will be held online. The pre-and main exams are objective.

Preliminary Exam (Multiple Choice) : The pre-examination consists of 100 questions with a total of 100 marks. There will be a reduction of 1/4 of every wrong answer. The duration of the exam is 1 hour. It consists of four sections: – reasoning ability, numerical ability, English will be given to candidates who qualify for the pre-examination.

Mains exam (Multiple Choice) :  The main exam consists of 200 questions for 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. It will be entirely MCQ based. It consists of five sections: – reasoning, numerical skills, English, general knowledge, computer knowledge. 1/4 marks will be deducted in each wrong answer.

Interview: The candidates are going to go for an interview to clear the hand exams. It’s 35 points ahead. A separate admit card will be issued for writing as well as for the interview. Download the admit card and take it along with you.

RBI Assistant syllabus:

English;- Reading comprehension, one-word substitution, synonyms, antonyms, sentence arrangement, sentence correction, cloze test, word meaning, active-passive voices, and phrases

General awareness:- current India news, current world news, geography, history, politics.

Quant:- time and work, time and distance, simplifications and CI, average, probability, permutation and combination, allegation and comparison


Reasoning:- Number series, blood relations, the odd man out, analogy, coding and decoding, puzzle, row arrangement, circular arrangement, symbols, directions, Understanding.
