  • The candidates must fulfill the minimum basic eligibility criteria for Karnataka Civil Services Exam 2020. KPSC eligibility criteria details are as below:
  • The applicants must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates must have completed three years graduation degree from any recognized University/institute.
  • The age of the applicants must be within 21 years to 35 years.
  • Those who belong to the reserved category can seek age relaxation under the prescribed norms.
  • If any candidates found to be ineligible later at any stage of the examination process, he/she may face the consequence.




KPSC KAS 2020 Application Form:

The application form for Karnataka Civil Services Exam 2020 will be released online on the official website. Candidates can access the official website for online submission of the application form. Enter the personal information, academic qualification and correspondence address in the application form. Upload the passport size photograph and signature with prescribed specifications.

Pay the requisite application fee and submit the application form. Payment of the registration fee can be done through online mode such as net banking, credit/debit card. After making a payment, keep receipt of the fee future reference. After submitting the application form, take printout of the application form or confirmation page for future reference.

Preliminary Exam:

The preliminary exam will be of 450 marks.
All the questions will multiple choices in nature.
There will be two papers in the preliminary exam.
The duration of test will be two hours.

Paper –1→General Studies--150
Paper-2→Optional Subject (anyone subject as given in the list)--300
Total of ➨450


Main Examination:

1. Qualified candidates of the prelims exam will be eligible to take part in the main exam.
2. The main exam will be 1800 marks.
3. There will be four papers in the main exam.
4. The main exam will consist of descriptive type questions.
5. Qualified candidates for the main exam will be invited to attend the interview process.
6. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written exam and interview.




KPSC Syllabus:

The written exam of the Karnataka Civil Services will consist of the following topics:
Current affairs of National and International importance
History of India: Understanding of Social, cultural, political and economic aspects.
Indian and World Geography with focus on Karnataka.
Indian Polity and Indian Economy: Economic Reforms, Rural Development and Poverty Alleviation, Social Sector Initiatives.
Current affairs of the State
General Science and Technology
General Mental Ability: Analytical Ability, Comprehension, Charts, Logical Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Tables and Graphs
